Lonesome cowgirl ...

The Calgary Stampede is on while I am visiting Banff, so there are lots of cowboy hats and boots in town. Not many authentic cowboys, more your comical tourist variety. In keeping with the spirit, I went on a 2 hour horse ride today.

I seem to manage a horse ride probably every 10 years, so I am obviously a seasoned professional in all things horse related. A very scenic ride along Bow River and up and down a small, horse-friendly mountain. Thankfully the horses were well trained and I didn't need to use the start/stop button much, but they did the occasional bone-jarring trot.

... needless to say, I'm finding it quite uncomfortable to actually sit at the moment.
