Luckily, pigeon shit seems to be pretty rain-soluble - over the last few days the greater part their deposits have been washed away.

Just a few yards up the street from me is a little square called Place François Bossuet - it boasts plane trees in geometrical rows & nice wooden benches to match. Our beloved Commune put up notices on the plane trees to the effect it was forbidden to feed the bloody pigeons.

The old Maroccan & Turkish women round here read no French or Flemish & they kindly break up & spread carrier bags full of stale bread... Pigeons stuff themselves all day. Grump :o#
