Sharpness Test

i tested all three of my lenses today for their sharpness at the different apertures. i discovered that they're all good enough for me.

but one thing i did realize is how much i would miss my 17mm focal length if i upgraded to the D700 like i was planning. i certainly don't want to spend the extra 1,000 to upgrade my 17-50mm Tamron to something FX friendly, but i don't know if i want to be confined to my 24-85mm when the angle can't very wide- i mean i don't mind the 24mm focal length. what i do mind is the fact that when at that 24mm (-28mm) the minimum focusing distance is like, 5 feet away from the lens.
