Mini Day Trip and 'The Big G"

The Glasgow Commonwealth Games are fast approaching and Glasgow is buzzing. Today we had a quick visits to my second home to see Sarah, collect some of her things to take home and to have lunch.

I surprised her by taking her gran and granda down too! She was tickled pink. Shame Mr G couldn't of come but he has been busy covering the Scottish Open in Aberdeen.

The drive was great and the sun shone the whole day! It was really warm in Glasgow and when we left at 5.30 ish it was 26C !! Lovely weather.

We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and then did some shopping. On the way back to Sarahs digs we went to George Square to look at the The CommonWealth Official Shop and this , "The Big G" as its called. Bought some lovely goodies.. Elaine I even bought myself a Harris Tweed Coin Purse!!!

Shame we were only down a few hours and then home again. Will stay longer next time!
