Football Semi Final #2

Another day, another venue.

Managed my day at work with less than 4 hours of sleep but had to do a little bit of catching up with rest if I was to a. stay awake for the second semi-final and b. be good for work on Thursday.

G happened to be in Dubai Mall in the morning and got us tickets to watch the match on this giant screen at the ice rink which I have to say was amazing for viewing. The seats and company weren't as good as in Carter's but we'll forget about that. I was amazed at how many young kids there were. Little ones - some not even 6; some even there without their parents! The Sponsor (Coca Cola) gave out free cans of Coke and water.

We sat patiently through the two halves, extra time and so sad it went to penalties; but it was just awful when just after Messi scored, they lost the signal! The screen went blank and they could not get it back up soon enough. People started to leave and I had to  message SweetArt to find out what the final outcome was!

Another very late night but glad I managed work just fine. So glad it is the weekend though. :)

PS. Thinking back to the Germany-Brazil semi-final; Germany made more goals in that one match than Spain did in all of the 6 matches they played in the 2010 World Cup when they scored just one goal per match to get to the final; and even then they beat Holland 1-0!!
