Poop!

Poor Mills. I shouldn’t have laughed but I did! Let me set the scene….

Mills is allowed in the garden only when we/I are home and we can keep an eye on her (regular readers will know Mills is deaf). Our garden is secure but we still like to monitor her and keep an eye on her whereabouts and more often than not she just wants to sleep under a bush or sun bathe. But this evening she seemed to be on a mission!

We have a couple of blackbirds in the garden that are quite frankly winding Tess and Mills up. Tess is playing it cool but we know and so does she that one of the birds will be dead by the end of the week (mouse count is five – again regular readers will know about the wager on number of mice for this season).

Mills however, for a non-hearing cat has had enough. This evening she crouches (like cats do) and makes a pounce for one of the birds. She was quick and for a split second I thought she got it. The bird gets away and Mills dashes in the opposite direction. Nothing odd about that but then she starts running around in circles shaking her head.

I see she has something on her, so go towards her; she runs off into the house and won’t let me catch her. I finally do catch her and see that she has bird poo on her head!!! Oh the shame….but oh so funny…the bird got the last laugh! She really was not impressed!

It’s been another long day in the office (left at 7am) but home now and time to relax. Chris is still working (from home) but that’s OK as he is finishing early tomorrow to join me with meeting the ‘new window / internal door’ man and then we are walking the neighbour’s dog as a favour to her whilst she is away.

Happy Thursday
