Linda Vista

Spent much of the day working in the Linda Vista Gardens. We've the Newport Borough Band coming to play there on sunday, plus Liz Knight of Forage Fine Foods is going to do foraging things, and in a week or so, the Wales in Bloom judges will be coming round judging Abergavenny, so we've got to try and get the gardens looking smart! I wonder what the judges will think now that Monmouthshire has replaced much of their bedding with wild flower seed mixes. It look really good on roundabouts and suchlike. Here in Linda Vista,in the formal garden parts, wild flowers look a bit out of place, though they are really good for bees and biodiversity generally.
