FOD box

Minibus ferrying of cadets was my mission today, as they travelled to the outdoor shooting range across the other side of the air base. The journey involved travelling across an aircraft servicing pan on the end of a runway, so you have to stop in the blue painted 'FOD box' before you enter this area. Foreign Object Debris can be picked up in the treads of your tyres, or bits be loose on the vehicle. I will be glad not to have to stop and run my hands around a mini bus's tyres for a long time...
