Overgrown

This is my idea of an attractive country churchyard, slightly overgrown with mown paths in between with plenty of opportunity for wild flowers to flourish. This is not a view shared by all and there has been, in the past, some debate in the village between those who think like me and those who want mown lawns and flower beds. In fact, this is the oldest and most overgrown area of the churchyard; there are other areas where the gravestones are easily read. The debate fizzled out anyway as there is nobody prepared to do the work necessary for intensive maintenance.
