Another writing day [now working on a spec feature], another photo from close to home. Saw this bee was poised on the table outside, easy capture.

Addendum: I am reliably informed this is a tree wasp. Perhaps that explains why it spent twenty minutes trying to bite the table. Repeatedly. Odd behaviour.
