Huckleberries

They're getting plump! Another few weeks and they will be ready to be picked.

I took this photo early in the afternoon. Mr M worked night shift, and only about half an hour after he left, the sky turned black, the wind was gusting and the rain started pouring down. It was very imposing. Not too long after, the sun was out again. As it turns out, there was a tornado just about 2 miles from our home - the farmer who plants our fields had half his milking parlor torn off, and the trees looked like they had been twisted off their base. Fortunately no one (or animal) was injured, but there is significant property damage throughout the path. We were very fortunate - only some branches and leaves scattered around the yard. Of course the power was out for almost 24 hours, which is why this is getting posted after the fact.
