Mother to hair salon today... a driech day - wind, rain, dense grey sky, cold-ish! Snow forecast for the next couple of days!! Hopefully not as far down as sea level where we are.
North Island copping a hammering from gale force winds blowing roofs off, tearing trees out by their roots, washing boats up onto land and generally thumping a plethora of farmers damaging produce and knocking out electricity to thousands - no milking for some dairy farms.
We will be paying for all this during the summer months when prices for everything from timber to tender loin and avocados to apples will hike up to cover costs of storm damage.
