Earlier in the year we noticed that patches of roadside verge were being turned over, without apparent reason. Now the colourful displays along the roadside give the explanation. Wild flowers in bloom; not dramatic but beautiful and in random mixtures of colours breaking up otherwise drab and rather boring mown grass verges.

The flooring subcontractor arrived earlier than planned today. Fortunately J had given me a hand shifting the furniture out to give a clear floor area for them to work on. All down by early afternoon; they'll be back tomorrow morning to finish the beading to the perimeter.

Took Dad to visit Mum this afternoon; how the time has passed this year.
