Baby Frog (or is it toad?)

D and I took a walk over by the Coyote house when she spotted this little frog, and she just had to bring him home with us. Safely in her hand, we walked back to our house into the back yard. We set him free in the pond. Just after this shot, he got dragged under by one fish after another.You can see the first orange one just under the water who grabbed him. It was as though a school of vicious piranha were after a juicy victim. My fish have no teeth, so perhaps they were just taunting him? He was a little survivor though and kept getting free. I was finally able to scoop him out without falling in myself. Poor guy. He is now recuperating in the garden.
