Everyone's Favourite!

What a fabulous day to visit the May Isle ..... not a cloud in the azure blue sky. The noise as we approached the island was almost deafening as the thousands of sea birds wheeled and soared above us before coming to rest on the narrowest of rocky ledges. Kittiwakes, Shags Arctic Terns, Guillemots, Razorbills - we saw them all but it was the thousands of puffins that everyone had come to see. They are such a comical sight with their large brightly coloured beak. They are fairly tolerant of humans unlike the terns which continually dive bomb at your head as you pass their nesting grounds.
