Choosing.....

Today I had what my children used to call a "choosing tea"
I would put lots of things on the table....bread, crackers, cheese, cold meat, salad
And they could choose what they wanted to have and make up their own tea
Within certain parameters, which I set by what I put out for us to choose from.
They thought they had freedom of choice
But what they had, was freedom of my choice
It made me wonder.....
How many times do we think we are free to choose
When, in fact, all we have is the freedom of other peoples choices?
