What a difference a day makes
On a beautifully sunny afternoon we decided to travel to Thixendale in the Yorkshire Wolds. Six dry valleys meet in this village and gave plenty of options for walks. We chose to walk parts of both the Yorkshire Wolds Way and the Centenary Way.
Despite the rain yesterday the paths were bone dry and the dry valleys provided some stunning views. The butterflies were flitting about and I had several attempts to capture what I think is a Marbled White. Every time I got close they flew up into the air. Fortunately this one hung around long enough for a quick blip.
