Meadow cranesbill

Today's the day ........................... for a conundrum

When is a weed not a weed?

It says in the dictionary that the definition of a 'weed' is any plant that grows wild and profusely. Well that would apply to quite a lot of the plants in my garden. I've also heard it said that a weed is just a plant in the wrong place - got quite a lot of them too.

This Meadow cranesbill (or Geranium pratense to the initiated) grows in profusion in the eco-patch that is our front garden. Personally I think it's every bit as lovely as all the proper geraniums that I paid good money for and planted in my tubs at the front door.

As they also say - there's a place for everything .....................
