Where have the years gone?

We've had a lovely evening with our family, giving our granddaughter, Sophie, and her boyfriend a send off to their school ball.
I can't believe she is so grown up, and I remember the excitement of her being born on my birthday, as if it were yesterday.
Before she left she gave my husband and I a gift, and I have to admit I shed a few tears.
Her bracelet with the roses was a gift from her boyfriend.
