Ready for topping and tailing
I was up at six this morning, out in the garden picking gooseberries, we topped and tailed them and the majority are now in the freezer. Some were stewed and served with ice cream for desert this evening.
We have just one bush which is a tall variety and is thorn-less so it's an easy job picking the berries. This years crop was 4 kg, so quite a nice result.
