Backblip

We had a power cut in the afternoon, two zip codes in NE Portland without electricity from 4:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pacific Power said it was "tree interference/line down" whatever that might be, not storms or wind, perhaps a tree trimming went awry... I bet the shops and restaurants were particularly unhappy about it as it was a hot day and probably lots of folks (including us) were thinking of having dinner out.

Oh well, what to do? Photograph the jam I made earlier in the day. This is blueberry jam made with the berries we picked on Sauvie Island on Friday. I made several jars, this open one is the last bit that wouldn't fit into the sterilized jars so it goes in the fridge and gets eaten right away. Delish.

We were happy the electricity came back on as we wanted to watch the Brazil-Germany match - my goodness, a walk in the park for Germany!
