Our Final Day

The last day of our two month vacation. This is certainly the longest vacation I have ever taken, but apparently even two months must come to an end eventually. Tomorrow afternoon we head to the ferry in North Holland near Amsterdam.

Today we took the tram into The Hague for a quick look around the city and the shops. In the evening, dinner at the Argentinian restaurant on the piazza in front of the hotel. No football matches of particular interest to Holland (or Argentina) this evening, so things were fairly quiet on the piazza, particularly in comparison to the weekend.

Later in the evening we went to the Conservatory Bar of the hotel, from where I took this picture of the sunset. A fitting photograph with which to sign off this early summer vacation. Our next holiday in Lenno will be in September. On that occasion we will be travelling by plane. It is a long way from Aberdeen to Lenno by car, perhaps about 18 hours driving time, though it was spread over four days on the way south and three days on the way north.
