The Black House:-)

Went for a nice gentle bike ride along the front and around Hengistbury Head!!Mudeford quay is in the background!!In the foreground is the black house!! One apocryphal story is that the black house acquired its distinctive black colour when customs officers tried to smoke out some holed-up smugglers by lighting fires around the base. The house was constructed in 1848 :-)
