The Grandest of ALL Grand Depart . . . that is how the French Director of the Tour de France – Christian Prudhomme – described his experience of Yorkshire.

I have to say it was one of the highlights of my life. I only started watching le Tour when I retired and, initially, it was to watch the French scenery. Now it is an annual must do.

This is a sculpture in gardens near Harrogate. I declare this rabbit the winner of the stage.
