New Flute for young flautist!!

Our granddaughter is learning to play the flute, but her teacher has said that she can take her first exam towards the end of the year, so could probably do with a better flute than the one she has at present.
So we have been able to source this one for her - hope she likes it!! By all accounts it should keep her going to at least Grade 6, then it would have to be the real big time flute!
Can you play the flute and ride a horse at the same time? As this is her other passion.
