Schland!

today I watched the football at the German-Canadian club in Calgary which is temporarily based at the Danish-Canadian club, so the beer of choice was Tuborg; we won, enough said ...
although, it must be said that it is a bit disappointing to leave the club and to see all those people in their cowboy boots and hats most of whom did not even know about the legendary game that had just been played as they could not care less about 'soccer'; but then it would have not been much different in England, except that they would have known the score and care for football in general but not for the German national team in particular but at least I could have watched it with Harald and celebrated with him!
