out on the sands

We were up and out early to explore the beach at low tide and to see the shipwreck.
We were glad we did as we caught the best of the weather and avoided the swarms of surfers and gangs of children and the huddles of young families who filled the beach later.
Later I cooked lunch for us all, and went went for a long wander along the sea front.
This evening my sister and brother in law arrived so now all are present who are going to be.
We went out for a big family dinner in a very nice restaurant, got some great pictures of us all, ate and drank loads and had a good laugh.
