Watching the Tour De France

Once in a life time experience watching the TDF come through town.
Bacon butties on the Wright drive at 9.30.
Cheered and waved to every one who went past.
The British bobby was wonderful getting us all competing with the otherside of the road as to who could make the most noise.
Drinks and food kept flowing.
The anticipation built ....
the caravan of floats passed by....
goodies collected...
the helicopters hovered overhead.....
sirens blared....
crowds cheered....
2 cyclists passed......
memory card FULL.....
No......
Quick deleat.....
here they come.......
cheer...shout...video...
amazing speed ....and they had gone...
Incredible.
Tidy of the drive and a little walk to sit in the sun on the common watching the large screen...
Pimms and ice cream delivered by Miss M...
All to soon it was over...
Visitors departed and peace returned.
(not quite...we could hear the screams from the common marquee as the dream boys came on the stage for the carnival)

Tired after all the cycling, eating, drinking, entertaining and enjoyment of a most memorable weekend.
