In August last year, I signed up to attend the COSCA Certificate In Counselling Skills. It's the 2nd part of my plan to change career.

Every Tuesday night since then I've been attending evening classes at West Lothian College in Livingston.

These are the people that I've spent the last 10 months with. These are the people that I've spend a very intimate year with. The Cosca course isn't just about learning counselling skills. It's about self awareness and reflection. It was difficult: there were laughs, tears, arguements and more tears but I had an amazing year with these people.

And then it finished... That was a strange feeling. To really get to know people and then suddenly everyone is leaving and you might not see these people again. Oh, you exchange emails and promise to keep in touch, but you never do.

I'll be back at college again next year, but it's time to enjoy the summer sun.
