bolted

A grey and damp start to the day so I headed to the gym.  Silly sheep on the road so there was a bit of very slow driving.

After lunch the weather changed and although I hadn't planned to go out, the blue sky was just too tempting. Up through Skelghyll Woods to Kelsick Scar. At the ruin on top  I was approached by a German couple who asked if there was an easier way down. There is, but considering potential language problems it was just too difficult to describe.

I took the alternative route and passed several of these gates on the way They mark the route  of the aqueduct which runs from Thirlmere to Manchester. Most are padlocked but this one just has a bolt as it's on the footpath.
