A little bit of sports day
As Will lined up for his second race (egg and spoon), two things happened. My mum and dad arrived from work and the heavens opened. So that was the end. My mum and dad went back to work, Will went in and got changed and we came home. He was annoyed but couldn't stop laughing about "Grandma and Grandpa getting straight back into the car again!" That's one of his lovely teachers who he has a little cry about at the thought of leaving Year two.
And then I went to my first governors meeting. God, I should have done this years ago, I loved it! My boss is going to laugh when I tell him about it, he always says I have to stop volunteering for stuff but I just hate a silence when there is something needed to be done. We talked about sex, I have got to go into school and check the drugs, no rock and roll yet but I am sure that will come in time. One day I will learn to hold my tongue like everyone else. I did manage to do that when they were talking about a group of Year two boys who they had done extra intensive effort with so they could write properly. I thought it wouldn't have been appropriate to ask if Will was in that group......
And I woke up at 3am this morning in a blind panic that Will's passport wasn't going to arrive in time for our holiday (in 6 weeks, I know somewhat previous panicking). But then I got a text from HM Passports telling me they were just printing it and would post it in the next couple of days. So nice of them to stop my worries about how I would have to hide Will in the boot under blankets.
