Where I Work, Part II: War Memorial

One of the nice things about where I work is that if I trip up leaving my office I bang my head on Lutyens architecture. The Council just spent £84,000 on the city’s cenotaph, repairing damage to its roof, repointing the stonework and doing up the railings around the monument. I've been meaning to re(shoot) this since the work was completed, but to be honest, the 1925 memorial arch, designed by renowned architect Edwin Lutyens, looks pretty much like every other monument Lutyens designed.
