Nectar
Supping sweet nectar,
Where the purple knapweed sways.
Tall grasses whisper.
..... in the churchyard there are areas of where the long grasses are allowed to grow and the wild flowers flourish. One particular area has been colonised by Marbled White butterflies. Apparently they are attracted to purple flowering plants such as knapweed, thistles and scabious ... how strange.
Thanks for comments on my ghost picture yesterday .. I will get round to replying .... Alzheimer's disease has been in the news a lot lately and it made me think of my Mum, who died from this back in 2010. It's a cruel disease ... and makes you realise that without our memories we lose ourselves ... that was what set me thinking anyway ...
