Work has commenced

M has today opened up the concrete path to lay the new drain for the cottage. At present there is virtually no fall and thus problems occur - usually when it is pouring with rain or once on Christmas Eve! Being a responsible landlord I would never leave my poor tenant (now deceased) with a blocked drain so out would come the rods etc to clear the run. I just hope that we can get a reasonable fall!
He has also opened up the doorway which was tiny and I suspect tomorrow the new lintels will go in so that the door is no longer 5' 6" high!
All of this work may well provide a number of extremely boring blips over the next few days so I apologise in advance!
