Top of the Glacier

Decided to make the most of the good weather with a trip to the top of the Stubai Glacier. Twenty kilometres by bus to the end of the valley, then a series of gondolas took us to the top. A bit nippy up there in the strong wind but views of snow and rock all round.

Didn't hang around long at the top, and we descended to the Eisgrat gondola station / restaurant for essential coffee and strudel on the terrace.
