My new best friends…..

On my way across campus to meet a visitor from Australia to give him the "grand tour" of our learning spaces, I was approached by this group of delightful students from Universities in South Korea. They are on a "Global Exchange" visit, and their task for the day was to obtain as many photographs as they could of themselves with "foreigners"

After numerous pictures, and you can see that they were not shy about snuggling up together with me, and a video interview (heaven only knows where that will end up!) I went to meet my visitor. On our way back, we bumped into the same group who decided they could not pass up the opportunity to "capture" an Australian. Neil, who is a Vice President of the University of New South Wales, was delighted to be involved.

One of the joys of working at a University is the connection we make with our wonderful students. The mantra these days is all about improving and enhancing "the Student Experience" but, the staff experience is also important, and they made my day!

I realised afterwards, that this was one of my first experiences of HKU a year ago, how time flies!
