Another Day

Sunny Thistle

My walk in the park at the back of the house was full of butterflies, beetles, dragon and damsel flies. The Ragwort are full of cinnabar moths and the bees kept disappearing down the Bindweed flowers. In the end it was a toss-up between a beetle on a dull thistle or a hoverfly on a sunlit thistle.

Did anyone watch the drama "Common" on BBC1 on Sunday Night, followed by a documentary last night called "Guilty by Association"? It was very disturbing and thought provoking. For example, if a group of boys and/or girls are out together and one pulls a knife and stabs someone, they can all be charged with murder, it's called "Joint Enterprise Law". It makes the assumption that everyone knows one of them was carrying a knife with intent. There are now people in jail for crimes that didn't commit but with no chance of early release.
