Putting the Tour into tourism

Day 2 - hooked, we decided to cycle over to a vantage point outside Silsden to see the riders at close range. Fabulous atmosphere again, hundreds of people (and that was just the queue for the ice cream van!), young and old, sun shining (amazing). They sped past in a thrilling woosh, a bit like a truck going past but without the smell! We then cycled the way they had come, marvelled again at their extraordinary fitness levels and enjoyed the experience of being king of the roads for once.
Managed to maintain radio silence long enough to watch the recording of the men's final at Wimbledon. Not sure how much sporting excitement you can cram into one weekend, but this was up there!
