a certain obviousness of purpose

I very much dislike having to participate in arguments, so when one becomes necessary but in an entirely justified way I mind less, especially when it involves making sure I leave work in good time to get a nice relaxing walk to the place where the argument must be conducted. Despite taking care to turn up with prepared documents supporting my position an acceptable resolution was not achieved and it will be necessary to repeat the journey at roughly the same time tomorrow and leave my temporary three-blip gap unfilled for another evening.
