Once you get beyond the gift shops, restaurants and 'visitor attractions' Land's End is actually quite beautiful. The children did succumb to the gift tat on this occasion though as they had to come all the way to Land's End to find products with both their names on, they tell me there was a Rosie as well but sadly no Carlos. We wandered away from the crowds to the farm and craft workshops, I bought a wee cute pottery jug and bowl and got nipped on the bum by a rather hissy goose. I'm glad we went as the weather had seriously brightened up by the time we were leaving.

On the way back we went to the beach at Porthcurno, we saw some of the cables on the beach but sadly the Telegraph Museum was shut. It was a beautiful beach and the children reverted 10 years, throwing off their clothes and running squealing into the sea. By the time we got home everyone was tired but happy, another excellent day!
