Le Petit Depart

These willow sculptures were produced as a project by Carole Beavis for the 100 days cultural festival leading up to the Tour de France.

Carole worked with schools in Kirklees to create La Grande Famille. - a group of willow cyclists which appeared for the "Spirit" event in Dewsbury, and then went on on to be part of the "Grand Depart" in St. Peter's Gardens in Huddersfield.

It was rather sad to see the bunting coming down and these sculptures being taken away as I arrived for work this morning.
