Crathes Castle

Despite the apparent cloudy sky this is actually a warm sunny afternoon. There is a warning in the sky this may not last, and by about 4pm it had truly clouded over and become quite cool.

Crathes Castle has a very pleasant and well maintained garden. Although it is quite large I feel the charge for visiting the garden is over priced for non members, and only visiting the garden a few times a year covers our NTS membership fee. As we have been away for a couple of months we thought it was time for a visit.

The garden was very pleasant, though it is probably at its absolute best in June. Still it was very pleasant, and some areas were full of colour. Quite difficult to get pictures of the garden without people spoiling the view. I shall have to make a visit mid week when there are fewer people about. In this photograph I have used a bush to hide these pesky individuals!
