Smugglers Apprentice

This afternoon I happened upon the Ray Lonsdale statue in Merchants Row, off Eastborough in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. I was with twelve French students who I am teaching over the next two weeks. The position of the sun prevented me from photographing the complete statue as the Smuggler himself was in deep shadow. However, here is the Apprentice with a promise that I will return soon to photograph the statue as a whole. This is my offering for today.
