Today was a full day waking up at the crack of dawn due to a nightmare then going back to sleep after a while, then afterwards going to a café for a couple of hours to get in the last few bits and pieces of knowledge into the space of what's left of my brain. Went and did the test, something to which I haven't done for 10 years or so and completely nailed it. Perhaps I was aiming low due to insecurity but it was enough to know that I'm gradually improving in Japanese. Others have done more at higher levels, but it was perfect for me. Afterwards it was chilling out and I was able to climb that hill to see a new horizon.
