Can a chicken look sad?

If a salad can look sad, than maybe a chicken can look sad!!! :-)

We had good friends over yesterday. We haven't seen them for ages and it was a delight to spend the day with them. 'Elbows' took it upon himself to suggest that tall J might like to 'deal with' (is that put politely?) our last remaining chicken, Gravy, who has been alone since that early morning fox attack. 'Gravy' is quite old now and doesn't lay any more. And she may be quite lonely. But still ... !!!

Tall J laughed and declined the kind offer.
