The Logging Road

My contibution to Monomonday: road challenge, hosted now by Gingernan.
This is locally known as the Logging Road; in the past it was used to bring logs from the hills down to the river, now it's a popular walking/biking trail. It extends about 30 miles from the river, first through some wetlands and fields, then climbing on up to the forest all the way to Vernonia. No motor vehicles are allowed. There are a lot of birds, including an ospray's nest near the river. I love this place!
