Dragonfly at Clements' Pond
Dear Diary,
There is always something new to see at the pond. The dragonflies are decreasing in number but some still patrol the water's edge. The weather is slowly returning to more summery, read that 'hot and humid'. But for today there is still a freshness in the morning air that is heavenly.
Some of the banks of the pond are tough to get to as the ground is much more elevated on the east side. I will need to find a way to venture out onto the water. A small inflatable would be ideal. For now, I am content to observe the pond from the water's edge.
Only that day dawns to which we are awake. There is more day to dawn. The sun is but a morning star. - Henry David Thoreau
