V DAY:

Video of course. Very little housework carried out in this house today. Let the dust rest a little.

First video: Wimbledon ladies final. Kind of a non event with Kvitova overpowering Canadian Eugenie Bouchard in 55 minutes. Not very exciting.

Second video: 1st day of the Tour de France. Now, there is a day to give you goose bumps ! The weather, the crowds & the scenery......Yorkshire, stand up & take a bow. I loved the response, & the enthusiasm of the crowds, the human yellow wheel in the paddock that began to revolve as the helicopter flew over, Harewood House, the band with the French National Anthem, the Red Arrows & best of all the cyclists, steering down the barrel of a 2.000 km race. Phew. Sad they had to have a crash that first day, but I loved it all......& I have another two weeks !

Third video: Men's Wimbledon final, Federer V Djokovic, what an epic, 5 set game. It could have gone either way. I had a feeling my lovely man Federer was going to pull it off, but no. He is such a gentleman & so gracious in defeat. Well done Djokovic, you were a true champion, so humble, & emotional. It was great to see these two top players in action ..........thank you for the privilege.

So you can see why this was V day ? In the late afternoon when the setting sun was kissing the mountains, I stepped outside & took 2 steps to the left from my blip yesterday. Tomorrow I will dust.
