Division IV CCS Football Championship Game
This was my final high school football game. It was in a torrential rain storm at Terra Nova High, against our crosstown rivals Menlo. It absolutely poured from the hour before the game, all throughout warmups, and for the entirety of the game. With 6 minutes left in the game, I scored on a 13-yard naked bootleg that we had been saving up for the whole season. It worked perfectly (Max Parker is the Menlo player who bit on the fake) and that ended up being the game winning touchdown. We finished with a school record of wins with a 12-1 record, a CCS Championship and a PAL-Bay League Championship. My personal accomplishments for the season were: Team MVP, PAL-Bay Senior Player of the Year, National Football Association Scholar Athlete Award, and team Curia Member.
8 years earlier, Thomas similarly had the game winning touchdown in his final football game to win the Championship.
