Orca Sighting

We spent last night in Blind Bay on Shaw Island, meeting up with our good friends from Bellingham....thanks for a wonderful dinner Theresa! She managed to whip up one heck of a great dinner, topped off with macaroons and Ice Cream from the island. Then we played "hearts", and generally had a fun fun evening.

On our way back to home port of Roche Harbor, we noticed a whale boat whizzing by, and as we got to the turnoff, we decided we would go our into Haro Strait and see what might be there...........WHALES!!! Once we saw all the whale boats, we cut the engines and sat...the whales came right by! I loved this photo of mother and baby.

Then when we returned to Roche, we saw another Humpback Whale right near Spieden Channel, and I got some photos, and another diving shot with tail!! What a great day!
